The Bay Area is served by BART (trains). The trains can be taken from SFO Airport. From there, you may reach the campus or your hotel by Bayporter.

Flying into Oakland Airport? - Take the airbus, then BART to downtown Berkeley.  At Center Street and Shattuck, you can board the LBNL shuttle.
