Abstract:
Gravity in a finite region, with Dirichlet boundary conditions at the walls, can be studied in AdS/CFT as a deformation of the CFT by an irrelevant operator. The deformed theory is a peculiar QFT, but it may be useful as a building block for holography in more general spacetimes. I will review the status of this “T-Tbar” duality in various dimensions, including matter fields, and describe how to calculate correlation functions.
