ABSTRACT:

There has been considerable recent interest in light secluded sectors. The search strategies for such new physics crucially depend on the nature of the portal between the SM and the new physics. This talk will focus on the neutrino mixing portal, which is physically well motivated, but not yet sufficiently explored. Experimental signatures in this case are quite unique: “anomalies” at neutrino oscillation experiments, in cosmological data and in ultra-high energy (UHE) astrophysical neutrinos. We demonstrate how by combining the different pieces of data it may be possible to not only detect the presence of the neutrino portal, but also obtain quantitative information about the hidden forces. Along the way, a number of results in the existing literature will be corrected.
