Abstract: Quantum error correction has helped understand various aspects of holography such as bulk reconstruction and the Ryu Takayanagi formula for entanglement entropy. I will discuss how the cosmic brane prescription for computing Renyi entropy in AdS/CFT can also be understood as a feature of operator algebra quantum error correction. This has implications for understanding tensor networks and the holographic dictionary in a more refined way.
